Now I know before any keen ornithologists point out that there is a fairly slim chance that an Eagle Owl would be sitting right there in front of Durham Cathedral, but it would be nice though! Eagle Owls were native to the British Isles and a fairly common sight in the 19th Century but like all good things they were hunted to near extinction as a result of man's persecution. Although there are the odd mating pairs in the North of England it might be some time before my drawing will come to fruition.
My pencil drawing of the Eagle Owl is drawn in a deepish red conté crayon onto Ingres paper and whilst the original may no longer be for sale, Giclée prints can be taken if requested? The 10" x 8" (25.4 x 20.3cm approx) prints would be on superior archive quality 192gsm paper supplied as print only and not mounted or framed. The Open Edition Print would be bagged carefully and supplied in a protective postal tube for safety.
