Misty Meadow Morn is a painting inspired by the work of the American pastelist Richard McKinley, whilst he works almost exclusively in soft (chalk) pastels, my piece here is in oil pastels. It shows a morning view just as the mist is lifting to reveal the colourful landscape beneath. An original colourful oil pastel painting in a Post-Impressionistic style that's full of warmth, movement and atmosphere.
