"Silver Spirals" is again more graphics than illustration. I drew first the "spirals" in Indian ink onto art paper using a broad nibbed pen, once I had a sequence of shapes that seemed aesthetically pleasing, they were then scanned into my mac. By applying various techniques in Photoshop, one of which uses the curves function to create high contrast, slowly but surely you can create a metallic finish. The reverse of the design was flooded with a deepish blue colour to throw the design forward! This particular design was never used in production, but easily could be - publishers, again you know where I am!
