"Five x Five" is an abstract painting that is based around the colours and apparent randomness of colour in nature. There isn't just one shade of green, there are thousands all with just a subtle change in hue giving a slightly different appearance. The clinical way they are neatly set out mimics nature that in it's chaos, there of course is absolute order in how things grow and ultimately evolve.

"Five x Five" is painted in harmonising slightly textured greens and yellows onto gallery wrapped deep edged box canvas measuring 16" x 16" x 1.5" (40.6cm x 40.6cm x 3.8cm). The painting comes both matt and gloss varnished for further effect, with the squares in gloss and the background in matt, signed to the side, all of which are white also, so no need for further framing.
